Classic Comedy…Darts, the way we always thought it was…

I love watching darts, as a spectator sport there is not many better. And there are times when I look at myself in the mirror and think “Yep, I could be a World Champion”. And this takes me back to a clip I saw when I was very young, and the imagery of it has stuck with me since.

Not The Nine O’Clock News (NTNON) was a series coming from the new generation of comics out of England in the late 70s and early 80s, and from it we have seen some of the all time greats of the small screen – Rowan Atkinson, Mel Smith, Griff Rhys Jones and Pamela “The Takapuna Tart” Stephenson. Chris Langham, who made his start writing for Spike Milligan and The Muppet Show starred in the first series.

Over the remaining course of my life I will come back to this show with classic clips, but this one takes the spot this time round…now we know the truth behind those Adonis-like figures…
